Nam-gu steamed or grilled seafood
A braised monkfish and braised fish head specialist long settled in Daeyeon-dong. It has a dedicated car park, which fits a meal with parents or a family dinner by car.
The two signatures are the red-sauced braised monkfish and the braised fish head. Bean sprouts and sauce are generous and the heat can be adjusted, so it reads as a place about the texture of the monkfish and cod cheek and the savour of the sauce, not raw spice.
The braises are KRW 45,000 for the small and KRW 65,000 for the large, with monkfish soup also on the board. Mixing potato noodles into the sauce afterwards is the move, which makes it easier with two or more people.
It fits a table of old-style braised monkfish or fish head in Daeyeon-dong. Better suited to sharing with family or going along with someone who likes a spicy braise than to a quick solo meal.
