Jung-gu steamed or grilled seafood known for braised monkfish(large)
A braised monkfish house of more than sixty years, tucked into a Bosu-dong alley. Set the navigation to the address, and ask about parking on arrival at peak hours.
Braised monkfish is KRW 30,000 for the small, KRW 50,000 for the medium, and KRW 70,000 for the large. The monkfish arrives daily so there is little muddiness, and the plate is the Busan build with plenty of bean sprouts and sauce.
The braise is sharp, but it is a dish about the texture of the monkfish and the savour of the sauce as much as heat. Boiled plates and soups are on the board, though a first visit is easiest with the braise, sized to the group.
It suits a search for an old local braised monkfish house in Jung-gu. Good for a meal with parents, a spicy braised table, or a day around Nampo-dong and Bosu-dong when a local kitchen beats a tourist one.
