Premium hanwoo shabu-shabu in Marine City, private rooms throughout

About

A shabu-shabu restaurant on the second floor of Wooshin Golden Mercia on Marine City 3-ro, about ten minutes on foot from Dongbaek Station exit 1. Every seat is either a booth with high partitions or a private room, and high chairs are available, so it stays quiet enough for a family meal.

Hanwoo all-you-can-eat (tabehodai) is 38,000 won for adults and the beef-and-pork version is 34,000 won, with separate prices for elementary schoolers and children aged four to seven. Weekday lunch sets run from about 11,000 won between 11:00 and 16:00, and a 16,000 won drink package is available.

You pick two of three broths: sukiyaki, konbu, or karai. Karai is the spicy one but uses no mala-style spices, so the aroma is easy to take. Even the plain sets come with a vegetable and mushroom platter, porridge, and rice or noodles, and the vegetables and mushrooms are refillable.

Ordering is done from a tablet at the table, and private rooms are worth booking through Naver in advance. Walk-ins write their name on a tablet or list at the entrance, and remote waitlisting is also used. All-you-can-eat is capped at 90 minutes of ordering and 120 minutes at the table. Open daily 11:00 to 22:30 with no break time and no regular closing day; last order is one hour before closing. Park in the Wooshin Golden Mercia building lot and register the plate after your meal for validation.
