Takoyaki and frosted draft beer for a second round by Jangsan Station

About

A takoyaki bar on the first floor of Gyeongdong Core, a short walk from Exit 3 of Jangsan Station. There is no lot of its own, so Jangsan Station Public Parking No. 2 is the easier approach, and takeout and delivery run alongside the counter.

The pairing to order is the original takoyaki with a frosted, half-frozen draft beer. The batter uses the shop’s own powder, so the outside browns while the inside stays loose and hot, closer to pudding than to dough. The octopus pieces are substantial, and the bonito flakes and mayonnaise go on generously.

Takoyaki comes as 8 pieces (KRW 6,000), 12 (KRW 9,000) or 18 (KRW 13,000), and the 18-piece order can be split half and half. Teriyaki, hot spicy, spicy cheddar and snow cheese change the sauce and topping enough to carry a second round. Butter-grilled squid legs with peanuts (KRW 12,000) and nachos work as lighter side orders.

It suits a second stop around Jangsan Station, a takeout box on the way home, or a quiet beer late in the evening. Bar seating, four-tops and a few outdoor tables make it a place to talk rather than a loud drinking hall.
