Tokyo Table

동경밥상

Suyeong Japanese seafood course dining known for hitsumabushi

About

An eel rice bowl restaurant on the ground floor at 34-6 Namcheonbada-ro, between Gwangalli and Namcheon-dong. Takeaway is available and can be reserved, but seats cannot.

Queueing opens at 10:00 on site and 10:30 online for lunch, then 16:00 and 16:30 for dinner. On busy days a 10:30 Catch Table entry still lands in the thirties, so anyone planning a meal with parents should confirm the remote queue worked before setting out.

The ground-floor lot at Eonyang Bulgogi Busan Jip is free for an hour and KRW 2,000 per half hour after that. Parking near the Suyeong-gu office and walking over also works, though the closer lot is easier on a hot day or with older guests.

Tokyo-style unaju is KRW 52,000 premium and KRW 43,000 regular, with Nagoya-style hitsumabushi at KRW 39,000. The eel carries a clear charcoal smell, wasabi, scallion and sesame salt are refillable, and the meal closes with ochazuke and milk pudding, which fits a Gwangalli date or a day out in Busan.
