Suyeong Japanese seafood course dining
A third-generation sashimi house in Namcheon-dong known for cutting its fish lengthwise. Two hours at the public car park are covered, though the lot and the terms can change, so check the notice on the day.
The signature course is KRW 35,000 per person and the striped bream course KRW 45,000 per person. Sashimi bibimbap at KRW 13,000 and a spicy fish stew for two at KRW 30,000 make it workable at lunch as well as dinner.
The distinguishing feature is the lengthwise cut, which leaves the fish in long strands like noodles. It is thick yet loosens softly in the mouth, and the savour of aged fish registers through texture before any chili sauce or wrap.
There are separate shoes-off rooms, which suits a family gathering, a work dinner, or older guests. More people have been coming since a Korean TV food show featured it, so book ahead for peak hours.
